Bio I'm currently an assistant professor in the College of Computing and Digital Media at DePaul University in Chicago. I completed my PhD in Digital Media at Georgia Tech in 2010, for which I studied and developed the potential of videogames as an artistic and social medium. Working with talented and interdisciplinary teams from academia and industry, I've enjoyed creating augmented reality games for kids, mobile games for the iPhone, games that teach a foreign language, and art games that challenge standard game conventions. As a teacher, I take an interactive and hands-on approach in the classroom, blending theory with practice whenever possible. More on teaching philosophy here. I love traveling and lived abroad for several years in Mexico, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Israel, and Palestine. |
